MSOC: Pratt adds another keeper in Fernandez
HOUSTON — HCU Head Coach Ryan Pratt has announced the signing of Angel Fernandez to the recruiting class for the 2023 season.
The 5’10 goalkeeper from Miami attended Florida Virtual School. Fernandez has also been a member of the Inter Miami MLS Next academy program, most recently with its U17 squad.
Pratt on Dunn:
“Angel is a great shot stopper, has good range, and is very good with the ball at his feet.
He has an unbelievable mentality and we feel he can develop into an outstanding goalkeeper here at HCU.”
The signing of Fernandez pushes the 2023 recruiting class to a baker’s dozen, with three coming in the last 10 days.

The Huskies will get things going prior to the regular season with two exhibition matches on August 12 (at SMU) and August 19 (St. Thomas).
The season begins in earnest on August 24 when the Huskies host St. Bonaventure at Sorrels Field.
This will be the first season for HCU as an affiliate member of the Ohio Valley Conference, after 10 years as a part of the WAC.
The Huskies finished the 2022 season with a 5-8-6 overall mark. The full 2023 schedule, as well as conference slate, will be released at a later date.
