Colliers Taps Sam Azar as VP
Memorial Day Weekend is in the rearview mirror, summer is just getting started, and South Florida real estate hiring isn’t slowing down.
Colliers added a new vice president, Sam Azar, to its Miami office, the firm announced. Azar was previously president of RE Plus Properties, where he focused on restaurant and retail properties, LinkedIn shows. At Colliers, Azar will focus on retail leasing with the Urban Core Division, according to the press release.
Azar isn’t the only new VP in town. Colliers brought in Ana Paula as a vice president to focus on agency and tenant representation in February.
Also in Miami, design firm Ware Malcomb hired Francisco Perez-Azua as director of interior architecture and design, according to a press release. The design studio is headquartered in Irvine, California, with offices across the Americas. Its only office in Florida is in Miami. Perez-Azua’s role will be to grow the studio’s South Florida presence, the release says.
Perez-Azua was previously a design and construction consultant at FPA Construction in Miami, according to LinkedIn. He also worked as director of construction services at WeWork in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Brown Harris Stevens has a new crew of agents joining its offices in Miami-Dade County, according to a press release. Ana M. Morales, Kiana Kaye Wallon, Lillian Larrea, Massiel Duran and Roberto Suarez, Jr. are joining the residential brokerage’s offices in South Miami and Coconut Grove. Fatima Hendges, Laura Botero and Mor Ezer are new faces in the firm’s South of Fifth and Sunset Harbour offices.
