Serbian former tennis who claimed to date Princess Diana while she was still married to Prince Charles lists his Miami home for $16.9 million.
Serbian tennis star, Slobodan Živojinović, and his wife, musician Lepa Brena, have listed their waterfront villa in Miami for $16.9 million.
The former tennis ace previously claimed to have had a relationship with Princess Diana in the late 1980s while she was still married to Prince Charles.
Živojinović, 59, revealed his relationship with Diana began when she watched him play at Wimbledon, after which they became “extremely close.”
In a 2016 interview with the Serbian newspaper Kure, he explained Diana would watch him play tennis from the courtside stands rather than the VIP seats so she could be closer to him.
“She was a wonderful woman. With her I could talk about everything and even simple things became fascinating,” Živojinović said in the interview.
He is the only tennis player from Serbia to be the world No. 1 in doubles.
Živojinović and pop folk singer wife Brena purchased the estate back in 2012. They then proceeded to construct a new home that was completed this year.
Occupying over 6,000 square feet, the residence holds six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms with modern details and Italian finishes throughout.
An open floor plan, features include an expansive living room, a chef’s kitchen and an elevator that leads to the rooftop.
“The sellers wanted to build a house with an open floor plan that emphasizes water and light to create an unforgettable luxury living experience. Every detail was crafted with intention, from the modern design that embraces the stunning bay views to the carefully selected materials,” Mirce Curkoski with The Waterfront Team at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty told The Post.
Outdoor amenities include a pool, jacuzzi, a summer kitchen surrounded by manicured lawns and 75 feet of water frontage.
Albert Justo and Mirce Curkoski with The Waterfront Team at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
By March 2023, Biscayne Point home prices were up 26.8% compared to last year, according to Realtor.com
The median sale price of a home in the neighborhood is $3.7 million, with waterfront homes even higher.
Živojinović, as a singles player, reached the semifinals of the 1985 Australian Open and the 1986 Wimbledon Championships, achieving a career-high ranking of world No. 19 in October 1987.
