Honey Co-Founder Ryan Hudson Selling Miami Beach Mansion for $25.5 Million

Ryan Hudson, co-founder of online coupon-clipping platform Honey, is flipping a waterfront property in Miami Beach for a potential $10 million profit.

Mr. Hudson listed the 5,501-square-foot residence for $25.5 million earlier this month. He purchased the home through a trust just two years ago for $15.25 million, property records show.

Mr. Hudson co-founded Honey with George Ruan in 2012 and sold the company to PayPal for $4 billion in 2020. The pair, both in their early 40s, have a combined net worth of $1.5 billion after the sale, according to Forbes’s estimates.

They both became actively involved in real estate dealings. Last year, Mr. Ruan listed a mansion in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles for $150 million, more than double what he paid for two years prior.

Mr. Hudson’s home, located on the Venetian Islands of Miami Beach, was designed in 2018 by architect Max Strang in collaboration with Studio ABM Design.

“It is the perfect blend of calm relaxation and an entertainment haven,” listing agent Shawn Ankari of Ankari Development said.

“This waterfront escape boasts an in-home cinema and private rooftop terrace, as well as a pool deck and outdoor chef’s kitchen, idyllic for Miami Beach living year-round,” he said.

The two-story house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, open living and dining rooms and a study lounge. Throughout, it features walls of glass, hardwood flooring, granite countertops and wood cabinetry, among other luxury finishes, listing photos show.

The property, which encompasses approximately a quarter of an acre and is entirely solar-powered, has 60 feet of water frontage with an Ipe wood deck and a boat lift , according to the listing.

There is no shortage of super-luxury homes in Miami Beach, with at least 30 currently being listed for more than $30 million. The most expensive home for sale on the Venetian Islands is a newly completed waterfront property owned by a Belgian diamond mogul, asking $45 million.
