B&B Italia unveils penthouses in new Miami development

Luxury furniture maker B&B Italia is getting in on the branding game with its upcoming Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia, a 56-story condo going up in Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District.

Now working with Related Group and South Florida’s Alta Developers, the company is showing off the building’s collection of ten penthouses, including a pair of 54th-floor triplexes listed for between $12 million and $13 million. The 54th-floor is also home to two duplexes that span 4,100 and 4,560 square feet and are priced between $8 million and $10 million. All four units offer soaring 23-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay.

There are six more luxury units on the 52nd and 53rd floors, ranging from 2,982 to 3,772 square feet, with prices from $4.8 million to $6 million. All the penthouses sport gourmet kitchens with integrated espresso machines and double-door SubZero refrigerators

Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by B&B Italia creative director Piero Lissoni, Casa Bella is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.

250 East 21st Street, a new 54-unit boutique building in New York’s Gramercy Park, has seen meteoric sales velocity, with 90% of the residences sold since the launch in April 2022. Now the Issac & Stern–designed building is unveiling a new four-bedroom model residence in the building.

Featuring interiors by Paris Forino and furnishings curated by Ash Staging, Residence 10B spans 2,468 square feet with white oak herringbone wood floors, a primary bathroom clad in Crystallo Pearl marble, and a 316-square-foot terrace above the building’s mansard.

The residence’s European styling and prewar charm blend well with Gramercy Park, “an iconic neighborhood that is both rich in history and beauty,” says John Gomes of The Eklund-Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman, which is handling sales. Unit 10B is currently listed for $6,995,000.

Utah and Idaho lead the US in new housing stock

A new study commissioned by Matin Real Estate shows which states have the most new houses being built and which ones have the least. Topping the list was Utah with 11.7 new builds per 1,000 residents (that’s more than double the national average). Idaho came in second place with 11.43 new builds, followed by Florida, which had 9.80 homes being built per 1,000 residents.

At the bottom of the stack was Rhode Island with just 1.27 new homes per 1,000 residents. New York had the fourth lowest ranking after Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Illinois, clocking in at just 2.02 new homes under development per 1,000 residents. Meanwhile, California was in the 38th position with a modest 3.08 new builds.

At the moment, five or six months’ supply of homes traditionally signals a healthy housing market. (Before the pandemic, the US average was between four and seven months.) The average for 2022 was just month and a half—a modest improvement from 2021, when the average was just a one-month supply.
