Jacksonville in Top 10 for Zillow’s predictions of the hottest real estate markets of 2023 – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s no secret that people have been flocking to Florida for the last few years.

A new list says Jacksonville will be one of those prime destinations for 2023.

The River City’s housing market could really heat up in the New Year. On Thursday, Zillow released its Top 10 Hottest Housing Markets of 2023.

Some notable cities you might expect are on the list, including Charlotte, N.C., and Miami.

But Jacksonville actually took a step back from last year’s rankings.

This year, Jacksonville came in at No. 6, just behind Nashville. Last year, the River City ranked at No. 2.

Zillow said it analyzed the 50 largest cities in the country and focused on things like how a home’s value would appreciate between now and November.

They also track the speed at which homes are being sold. All of that adds up to Jacksonville sliding back some on the list.

Zillow also predicts that more homeowners will have an easier time budgeting and planning this year thanks to lower mortgage rates.

Atlanta and Miami also made the top 10 while Tampa and Orlando slid out of their high-ranking spots after making the cut last year.
