Miami Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa face Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers
It’s a Christmas date in Miami for the Dolphins and Packers in Week 16 of the NFL regular season.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins (8-6) are looking to shake off a three-game losing streak, but it won’t be easy against a desperate Green Bay Packers (6-8) team led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers are clinging to playoff hopes and need to win out to have a chance to overtake the Washington Commanders (7-6-1) for the NFC’s final Wild Card spot.
After losing last week to the Bills in Buffalo, the Dolphins are in a dead-heat with the Los Angeles Chargers (8-6) for the final playoff spot in the AFC. Los Angeles faces the Indianapolis Colts (4-9-1) in Week 16.
Tua Tagovailoa narrowly missed out on claiming his first career Pro Bowl spot this week despite continuing to lead the NFL in passer rating (107.8).
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill has piled up 109 catches for 1,529 yards and seven touchdowns as he’s already set the franchise record for single-season receiving yards.

11:30 a.m. | Baby, it’s cold outside (at Hard Rock Stadium)
After all the talk about weather conditions last weekend in Buffalo, the Dolphins are playing in (almost) Green Bay weather today.
The “feels like” temperature was 39 degrees about 1 1/2 hours before kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium. And it was gray and damp.
The coldest-ever Dolphins game in Miami occurred on Dec. 24, 1989, when it was 40 degrees and fans scrambled for coveted seats in the sun.
The Dolphins beat the Chiefs 27-24 that day.
The Dolphins have certainly been the better team all season, but at least one national NFL analyst says Aaron Rodgers is up to the challenge Sunday. “The Packers’ defense is bad against the run, but the Dolphins are inconsistent running it.”
On the other hand, says another: “The Packers have won two in a row, but the wins were against teams with a combined seven victories.”
