- 🌹 Community members gathered Friday to remember a teenager trafically shot and kiled by a fellow teenager in North Miami-Dade.
- 🗼 Japan Airlines is working on bringing direct flights between Tokyo and Miami.
- ☕ Ralph Lauren has opened its first cafe in Florida and Miami at Aventura Mall.

Here are the top stories in Miami today:
1. Community members gathered on Friday night at Sierra Park to remember a high school athlete shot and killed by a fellow teenager in North Miami-Dade County. Police said the victim was shot by a friend who pulled the trigger while playing with a gun. The teenager accused in the shooting will remain behind bars for now, a Miami-Dade court judge ruled on Thursday.(CBS Miami, WSVN)
2. An investigation is underway after a deadly shooting early Saturday that police say is a “domestic situation.” Authorities said the incident happened on Northwest 58th Avenue at around 3:30 a.m . and that the shooting was the result of an altercation between two men in the home. (NBC Miami)
3. Japan Airlines is looking at bringing Boeing 787 flights for direct flights between Miami and Tokyo. The Consulate General of Japan said Governor Ron DeSantis could lead a trade visit to Japan in October 2023. The distance between Miami and Tokyo is 7,454 miles and will take about 14 hours and 39 minutes. (Miami Today)
4. Ralph Lauren has opened its first cafe in Florida and Miami at Aventura Mall. The shop sells serves Ralph Lauren’s USDA organic special blend coffee, espresso and teas, ads well as specialty drinks and snacks. Ralph’s cafes are very popular on social media channel TikTok. (Time Out Miami)
5. A cruise passenger aboard the Royal Caribbean unexpectedly gave birth at sea with the help of the ship’s medical team on shore in Miami. The premature baby, which weighed 2.2 pounds at birth, was delivered by Royal Caribbean’s senior physician, Dr. Alif Patilla. (Miami Patch)
