Engel & Völkers Unifies Presence in Northeast Florida with New Shop Group Name

Grand Opening of Engel & Völkers Ponte Vedra Beach

…we see this as a market of opportunity. We believe this is the time to double down, expand our presence and continue to grow while other companies are taking a step back.

Engel & Völkers Florida today announced a name change that unifies its presence in northeast Florida. Franchisee Corey Hasting operates six locations including Amelia Island, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach and San Marco; they will all now collectively be referred to as Engel & Völkers First Coast. The decision was made amid Hasting’s continued expansion throughout the region.

“We couldn’t be more excited to unify all of our shops under the name Engel & Völkers First Coast,” said Hasting. “This name change has been part of our long term expansion strategy and now allows us to have true regional recognition throughout the First Coast. Coupled with our recent location additions in Ponte Vedra Beach and San Marco, we believe this will ascend us to our ultimate goal of closing over $1 billion in sales volume next year.”

Before joining forces with the global franchise brand, Hasting consistently ranked among the top residential real estate agents of northeast Florida and was awarded numerous accolades while previously with Keller Williams Realty. Since affiliating with Engel & Völkers, he has recruited over 111 top-producing advisors who represented over 1,100 transactions, totaling close to $700,000,000 in sales volume this year alone. Most recently, he hosted an event to celebrate the grand opening of his newest shop Engel & Völkers Ponte Vedra Beach.

“Aligning the company under one identity demonstrates the long term commitment that both Corey and Engel & Völkers have to increasing the bespoke experience we provide for our clients in the greater Jacksonville area,” said Peter Giese, CEO of Engel & Völkers Florida. “The financial commitment is in place to grow our annual residential sales to $1.5 billion out of this market.”

Florida’s First Coast is a region located on the Atlantic coast of North Florida. It roughly comprises the five counties surrounding Jacksonville, including Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau, and St. Johns; largely corresponding to the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The name originated in a marketing campaign in the 1980’s, and has become part of Florida’s regional vernacular.

“Our local real estate market has seen amazing appreciation over the last 24 months, like most markets in Florida,” said Hasting. “But what makes our market unique is that the appreciation continues to climb instead of the leveling off seen elsewhere. There’s a lot of major companies relocating their headquarters to northeast Florida which means staff relocation and other people are moving from other areas in Florida because you can still get a nice, affordable house here. Obviously, the market has shifted a bit, but for our company we see this as a market of opportunity. We believe this is the time to double down, expand our presence and continue to grow while other companies are taking a step back.”
