Miami football 2023 commits continue Hurricanes dedication
After the Miami football team ended its disappointing season with a loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday 2023 Hurricanes’ commits reaffirmed their pledges via Twitter. Offensive tackle Frankie Tinilau, tight end Jackson Carver and wide receivers Nathaniel Joseph and Robby Washington all posted to Twitter.
The Miami football program is currently ranked 10th nationally and has 19 players committed for 2023. Tinilau is one of five OL committed to Miami for 2023, Carver is one of three TEs while Joseph and Washington are the only WRs committed to the Hurricanes for 2023. The Early National Signing Period is December 21-23.
Joseph is the 136th player, 19th WR and 31st in Florida in the class of 2023 and highest rated among the Miami commits who commented on Twitter since the loss to Pittsburgh. Washington is the only other four-star commit from this group. The 2023 Miami class has continually been vocal about changing the Hurricanes’ fortunes.
In addition to the freshmen who are committed to Miami, the Hurricanes are expected to be very active in the transfer portal. The 2023 freshman commits should be able to help the Miami staff by continually being active on social media and pledging their commitment to Mario Cristobal and his staff.
Tinilau stated “We coming in ready to work. If you bull*&^ I’ll call the Uber for you. #TurningThis****Around #GoCanes.” Tinilau is a long-term project for Miami without a national ranking overall but is the 99th-ranked OT and 166th in Florida in the 2023 class. Tinilau will be a candidate to redshirt in 2023.
Carter and Joseph have been leaders for the 2023 Miami class on social media. The 2023 offseason for Miami should be a busy one. At this point last year, Manny Diaz had yet to be fired. In hindsight, the Miami Board of Trustees were waiting for Cristobal to coach Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game.
Despite getting a late start, Cristobal was able to sign several highly-ranked players and secure the 12th-rated transfer class for 2022. Expect Cristobal and his staff to sign a handful of players not currently committed to Miami. Miami seems likely to sign a few players during the traditional National Signing Day in February.
