Despite seeing some rain over the weekend and through Halloween, it still wasn’t enough to help to improve the Miami Valley’s drought conditions.

The US Drought Monitor released October 31, a Monthly Outlook which forecasts that the drought conditions will “persist” through the month of November.

According to the monitor, this is the largest portion of the United States to be an a D0 (abnormally dry) or D1+ (drought) since 2000.
