Monterey Bay F.C. plays Miami to a scoreless draw – Monterey Herald
MIAMI — The unbeaten streak stretched to five games for Monterey Bay F.C.
Yet, the Union remain on the outside looking in for the seventh and final playoff spot in the United Soccer League’s Western Conference after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Miami F.C.
By virtual of playing back-to-back draws, the Union now sit two points out of the seventh spot in a tie with Oakland with 40 points. Rio Grande Valley, who Monterey Bay faces in its season finale, has 42 points.
The Union, who visit Las Vegas on Tuesday, will have played four matches in the last 11 days. Three of their final four games are on the road.
Goalie Antony Siaha picked up his eight shutout between the posts for the Union, who are 11-8-4 since starting the season 1-6-0 in their expansion year.
