No. 24 Texas A&M takes down No. 13 Miami
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – After falling at home to unranked Appalachian State a week ago, No. 24 Texas A&M was looking to bounce back as the Aggies hosted No. 13 Miami on Saturday night at Kyle Field.
It was the first start in Maroon and White for quarterback Max Johnson, who transferred in from LSU during the offseason. He helped lead the Aggies to a big win, 17-9.
The run game, behind Devon Achane, got going a bit as he went for close to 100 yards. He also scored on an impressive receiving touchdown.
A&M’s defense was on the field for over 80 plays a week ago. They played bend-but-don’t-break against the Canes, allowing just shy of 400 yards but keeping the visitors out of the endzone.
