Here are the top stories today in Miami:
1. Former President Trump’s attorneys signed a letter in June asserting there was no more classified information stored at Mar-a-Lago, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The discovery raises questions about legal exposure in the FBI probe. (WSVN)
2. Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo is accused of misusing his power by business owner Esther Alonso. Two inspectors from the Miami Code Enforcement Office accused her of operating without a certificate of use and of owing more than $140,000 in past due rent after Alonso spoke out against the Virginia Key homeless plan. The owners of Little Havana nightclub Ball and Chain have also accused Carollo of abuse of power. (WPLG Local 10)
3. The opening of Bad Bunny’s new restaurant Gekkō in Brickell was reportedly a smashing success filled with celebrity. Amid all the excitement, Bad Bunny’s $3 million dollar Bugatti was dinged by a Lamborghini. (Subscription: Miami Herald)
4. Dozens of Miami Beach families remain displaced after they say their landlord, Sentinel Corp. terminated their leases at Annell apartment complex on 7th and Euclid Avenue. Part of their roof collapsed during a storm in June and the landlord then proceeded to terminate their leases. Tenants say they have yet to receive a dime. (CBS Miami)
5. Recent media reports suggest City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez could be running for President of the United States in 2024. Suarez recently signed a disclosure form indicating his intention raise money for a political group called Agenda for America, according to Axios. The article says the group is running ads in primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire. (NBC Miami)

- A mother said her estranged husband fatally shot her son and injured the teen’s girlfriend during a dispute inside a home in southwest Miami-Dade on Friday at 1 a.m. in the 12800 block of Southwest 263rd Terrace. (NBC Miami)
- Hundreds departed a Hialeah Publix and headed to Palm Beach in a caravan to show support for former President Donald Trump Saturday after the Mar-A-Lago raid by the FBI. (WPLG Local 10)
- Former NFL Pro Bowl player Elvis Dumervil has proposed his first major development in Miami-Dade County. The initial plan calls for a 17-story building with 23 one-bedroom units, 80 two-bedroom units, 98 three-bedroom units, and 50 four-bedroom units. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)
- 100 residents have left at Lakeside Park Estates Mobile Home Park off Pembroke Road after they were informed they were being evicted. Broward County negotiated a deal when the incident happened to give residents until the end of the year to vacate the premises, but many are afraid of where to go next. (CBS Miami)
