1. A former South Florida trooper is behind bars following child porn accusations. Christopher Chappell, 45, is charged with accessing child pornography with intent to view. He is being held on no bond. (Miami Patch)
2. A demolition permit has been issued and a foundation permit is pending where a 40-story condo tower called 501 First is about to begin in Miami. 501 First plans to have 448 condos, 10,000 square feet of retail, and no parking garage. (The Next Miami)
3. Monkeypox vaccines are now available in South Florida. People can get a free Monkeypox vaccine at the Pride Center today, between noon and 8:00 p.m. Appointments are also available Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CBS Miami)
4. Miami-Dade Police Department has released a sketch of man wanted for attempted sexual battery. According to police, the victim was jogging in the area of SW 96 Street and SW 148 Place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday when the suspect approached her from behind and attacked her. (CBS Miami)
5. A Sunrise Police sergeant seen on body camera footage putting his hand on another officer’s throat has been arrested on battery and assault charges. The video of the incident went viral online. Sergeant Christopher Pullease was arrested on Thursday and booked into Broward County jail. (NBC Miami)
