LeBron James admits to realizing that he was ‘him’ in Miami
As the Miami Heat continue to tinker around with ways to make a big splash move on the NBA Trade Market, the days until the next NBA season tips off continue to fade away.
While the pace and seeming, total lack of movement on that front, has made what is typically the slowest and longest period of the NBA offseason seem longer, hopefully, they make something finite sooner than later.
Though you would like them to land another big-time player to go with their current bunch, just as much solace might come if it is finally declared that they aren’t able to find a suitable deal at the moment. Well, perhaps that might be the case, but at least it will cure some of the anxiety of waiting around.
While that is that on the Miami Heat’s front, a former Miami Heat player continues to stay in the headlines, as he often does. LeBron James, fresh off of setting the Drew League ablaze, is a constant one-man news cycle.
Anything that LeBron James says—good, bad, or indifferent is headline worthy or worthy of someone throwing it out there to see if it’s worthy.
LeBron James didn’t learn to win until joining the Miami Heat and that’s been a clear observation. However, he, himself, has never said it, outright, until now.
While this next thing may be neither, in general, it is an interesting little tidbit that though known, has never really been uttered out of the mouth of The Chosen One himself.
Check this out. It’s a clip from what is presumed to be one of the latest episodes of LeBron James’ show, The Shop.
While he goes into quite a bit of detail about the topic, about caring what other people think of him, his decisions, or his overall legacy relative to the game and others, LeBron says something else that’s very interesting among this whole little spew.
In passing, he, sort of, admits that something else clicked once he got to Miami. Here’s the bit.
I spent like seven years and then I went to Miami that first year, and everything was about, like, still what everybody else thought. And then I just literally, just like, “I don’t give a f— what nobody think. I’m Him“
So, while it was a given fact that King James didn’t take the next step, from the perspective of maintaining a certain mentality and learning to become comfortable winning in his own particular way, until he landed in South Florida, you had never heard him say or imply it.
Well, that was until now. Because that’s what he just did here.
