1. East Ridge at Cutler Bay is celebrating 60 years as a retirement community for seniors. hundreds of residents and team members celebrated the diamond anniversary with a variety of events earlier this summer. (Miami’s Community News)

2. Rapper Kodak Black, whose legal name is Bill Kahan Kapri, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Friday on drug possession and trafficking charges. Kapri’s license and tags were also expired. He bonded out of jail Saturday evening. (WPLG local 10)

3. Police are searching for the person or people responsible for a drive-by shooting in a Miami neighborhood that left a man dead Friday morning. The incident happened near Northeast 78th Street and Fifth Avenue. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of the person or people involved. (WSVN)

4. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has proposed a 1% property tax reduction. Cava says deeper cuts would impact essential services, such as police, fire rescue, and more. Residents have complained that a 1% cut is not enough. (CBS Miami)

5. Republicans Kevin Marino Cabrera and Jorge Fors Jr. are financially in dead heat in the race for the District 6 seat on the Miami-Dade County Commission. District 6 includes Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, West Miami, parts of Coral Gables, Hialeah, Miami and areas of the county’s unincorporated area. (Florida Politics)
