Here are the top stories in Miami today:

1. Federal prosecutors charged two financial asset managers on Tuesday and accused them of taking part in a $1.2 billion international scheme to launder funds corruptly obtained from Venezuela’s state-owned oil company over the course of 3 years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida in Miami. 2. Miami-Dade police are investigating after a body was found inside a submerged pickup truck in southwest Miami-Dade on Monday night. According to police, the white truck was spotted by a worker around 9 p.m. in a canal in the area of Southwest 197th Avenue and 192nd Street. (WPLG Local 10)

3. Over two dozen migrants from Cuba are in police custody after coming ashore in Key Biscayne. Officials responded to the scene along Crandon Boulevard, early Tuesday morning. One woman was sent to the hospital for dehydration, according to Border Patrol. (WSVN, CBS Miami)

4. RPT Realty has acquired the Shops at Mary Brickell Village in Miami’s popular financial district for $216 million dollars. The Shops at Mary Brickell Village last traded for $113.46 million in 2015 nearly 7 years ago. Tenants of the plaza include Publix as well as Balan’s, Blue Martini, Candela Gastro Bar, LA Fitness, Massage Envy Spa, Novecentro, North Italia, P.F. Chang’s, Regions Bank, Shake Shack, Subway, Starbucks, Toscana Divino, and Vale Food Co. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)

5. Construction will begin this summer on a 34-story luxury apartment tower, One River, in Fort Lauderdale. The tower will include 251 apartments, 334 parking spaces, and 2,600 square feet of retail. (The Next Miami)

• Pompano Beach Vice Mayor Beverly Perkins has apologized after a heated exchange with police was caught on camera after she was allegedly pulled over for speeding. An attorney with Fort Lauderdale Police Union said the vice mayor does not deserve to be in office or hold the title of vice mayor and invited the city to take action. (WSVN)
• Siesta Club, a new waterfront beach club in Mid Beach, opened on July 7 and plans to run every Thursday through Sunday until late September. Each month will bring a new rotation of art installations. (Time Out Miami)
