About Sky Airline Peru

According to the airline’s website, a round-trip ticket between Lima and Miami costs around US$330, including taxes and fees.

Sky Airline Peru is a subsidiary of Chile-based Sky Airline. The ultra-low-cost carrier now competes directly with American Airlines and LATAM Airlines Group in serving the Lima-Miami route.

The Peruvian branch currently has a fleet composed of four aircraft. These are Airbus A320neo units. Meanwhile, Sky Chile has 24 aircraft and an order for 14 additional units. Sky Chile has 21 Airbus A320neo and three A321neo. The airline expects to receive four new Airbus A321neo and ten Airbus A321XLR (one of the two only customers of the type in Latin America; the other is Chile’s competition JetSMART).

Regarding Sky Peru’s expansion to Miami, Ralph Cutié, the airport’s Director and CEO, said,

“Sky Peru’s expansion is the latest example of how international travel at MIA is making a strong rebound to pre-pandemic levels. We look forward to welcoming more travelers from Lima and to seeing Sky Peru have continued success with their first US route.”
