The five best running backs Miami will face in 2022

At the college level, running backs can take over football games. 

The importance of the run game, both on offense and defense, is the biggest difference between college football and the NFL level. 

In order for the defense to take a step forward in 2022, Miami must be more consistent at stopping the run.

In 2021, Miami’s defense allowed 138 rushing yards per game, which ranked 44th best in the country. In the five losses in 2021, the Hurricanes allowed 181 rushing yards per game.

According to Pro Football Focus, UM graded out as the worst tackling team at the Power Five level in the country.
