CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The eighth-ranked Notre Dame baseball team is primed for their final ACC matchup of the regular season as they travel to Coral Gables to take on the ninth-ranked Hurricanes. The series pits the two-division leaders against each other as the league title and seeding in the upcoming 2022 ACC Championship in Charlotte is on the line. The Irish officially clinched their bid to Charlotte last weekend and are looking to capture their second consecutive Atlantic Division title. The series kicks off Friday night at 7 p.m. ET from Alex Rodriguez Park and it will be aired nationally on the ACC Network.

Irish Set to Battle Hurricanes with Title Aspirations on the Line
- Heading into the final ACC weekend of the regular season, the Irish have a number of opportunities ahead of them as they take on Miami in Coral Gables.
- The matchup pits the division leaders against each other as they play out the final three games of the regular season.
- The Irish (.625) hold a slim percentage lead over Louisville (.611) in the Atlantic Division and still have an opportunity to win the league outright. The Irish trail the Hurricanes (.667) and Hokies (.640) in the overall league standings.
- Miami holds the all-time series with a 21-7 mark and this will be the first time the two teams have played each other since the 2018 season.
- This is Notre Dame’s third trip to the state of Florida this season. They opened the season at the Hatter Classic in DeLand and went 2-1 on the weekend. In April, the Irish traveled to Tallahassee and swept the fifth-ranked Seminoles in a weekend series.
- Miami enters the matchup after a 1-3 week in which they dropped two out of three on the road against Florida State and lost their midweek matchup with Florida Gulf Coast.

Offensive Outburst Leads Irish Past Northwestern, 14-4
- The Irish offense started the last road trip of the regular season with a bang as they took down Northwestern 14-4.
- The Irish finished off their non-conference slate against the Wildcats and went 17-2 in non-conference games this season.
- It was also the seventh time the Irish faced a Big 10 opponent this year and they were 6-1 in those games.
- The Irish scored in double-figures for the 16th time this season and it was the 10th time they did it against a non-conference opponent.
- The Irish put the game away early with crooked numbers in four-straight innings starting in the second.
