Miami welcomes a pair of key additions on Tuesday
Miami officially has a pair of key additions on campus and enrolled in classes, InsideTheU has learned.
Prized running back TreVonte’ Citizen, who stunned the college football world on National Signing Day choosing the Hurricanes over SEC programs such as LSU, Auburn, and Florida, is the most recent freshman to make it down to Coral Gables.
He joins Chris Graves, Markeith Williams, Jaden Harris, Isaiah Horton, and Anez Cooper as members of Miami’s No. 16 ranked recruiting class to make it to campus. The only two yet to enroll are offensive lineman Matthew McCoy and defensive lineman Ahmad Moten.
The Hurricanes also got a top defensive line transfer in Akheem Mesidor on Tuesday. He figures to be key parts of the rotation up front for Miami with Mesidor, the highest-rated transfer addition, projected to be a starter after being highly productive for West Virginia over the course of his two seasons in Morgantown.
Other transfer additions such as Mitchell Agude, Caleb Johnson, Daryl Porter, and Jonathan Denis, are in classes at UM and moved into their local apartments as well.
Former Maryland defensive lineman Darrell Jackson, who was origianlly set to enroll at Miami on Tuesday, will be officially enrolled by the end of the week, sources indicate.
Each of those newcomers, minus Citizen, McCoy, Mesidor, and Jackson were on hand for a team meeting on Sunday afternoon.
