Here are the top five stories in Miami today:

1. A retired firefighter and paramedic in South Florida is on the front lines preventing fatal fentanyl overdoses in the community every day by distributing the FDA-approved nasal spray Narcan to those who need it. (Miami Patch)

2. Nexo Residences has launched sales in North Miami Beach. It is planned to be built at 13899 Biscayne Boulevard. The property will include 254 residences, which will be delivered fully finished and turnkey. (The Next Miami)

3. The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics will play Game 1 of the eastern finals Tuesday at FTX Arena. This will mark the second time in three years the teams have met in the postseason. 4. Transforming Port Everglades’ Cruise Terminal 4 into a second home for Disney Cruise Line received the green light earlier this month. The Broward County Commission approved Bermello, Ajamil & Partners, Inc. for design and consulting services. “We are certainly very happy and complimented that Disney Cruise Line will be sailing from our Port Everglades,” said Broward County Mayor Michael Udine. 5. A fourth prison guard has been extradited to South Florida to face charges in connection with the deadly beating of an inmate. Jeremy Godbolt is facing several charges, including second-degree murder, in the death of 60-year-old Ronald Ingram. (CBS Miami)

  • Two cyclists died after being struck on the Rickenbacker Causeway Sunday afternoon, Miami Police said. (NBC Miami)
  • One person was killed and five others were injured Saturday afternoon after a small plane caught on fire after crashing on the Haulover Inlet bridge in Miami, authorities confirmed. (WPLG Local 10)
