Inter Miami CF II fell 4-1 on the road against Rochester New York FC.
Inter Miami II kicked off the proceedings with Academy products Kobi Thomas and Benjamin Cremaschi starting for the second consecutive match and Academy product goalkeeper Andre Zuluaga making his fourth start in a row for the team.
Both teams pushed in search of the opener in the opening stages, but it was the home side that took the lead early on, with midfielder Edward WIlliams opening the scoring in the 10th minute of action. Shortly after, the hosts extended their lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute with a strike by midfielder Dolabella, with the matchup going into halftime with the same scoreline.
In the second half, Rochester New York extended its lead once more, with defender Jacob Akanyirige and forward Jesus Batiz making it 3-0.
Subsequently, Thomas shortened the lead in the 60th minute. It was the second professional goal for the Inter Miami CF Academy product, who has now scored in consecutive matches.
Inter Miami CF II will resume 2022 regular season action on Saturday, May 21 at 6 p.m. ET when it takes on Orlando City SC away from home.
