Inter Miami CF II and Academy Defender Tyler Hall Called Up to U.S. U-17 MYNT
Inter Miami CF II and Academy U-17 defender Tyler Hall has been called up to the U.S. U-17 Men’s Youth National Team. Hall, one of 20 players and just six defenders called up for the tournament, will travel with the team to compete in the UEFA Development Tournament in Castelo Branco, Portugal from May 1-11.
The team is scheduled to play three matches, facing Italy, Belgium, and Portugal. They will first face Italy on Thursday, May 5 at 9 a.m. ET at the Estadio Antonio Coelho Trigueiros de Aragão in Alcains, Portugal. Then the team will face Belgium on Saturday, May 7 at 9 a.m. ET at the Estádio Municipal de Idanha-a-Nova in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal. Lastly, the team will face Portugal on tuesday, May 10 at 12 p.m. ET at the Estádio Municipal Vale do Romeiro in Castelo Branco, Portugal.
The team will follow U.S. Soccer’s comprehensive Return to Play protocols during the event.
Hall, 16, has been called up to the U.S. U-17 MYNT on a number of occasions, most recently featuring for the team in March, when the team traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina for friendlies against Argentina and Uruguay, a 1-2 loss and 2-1 win, respectively.
With Inter Miami CF II, the defender recently made his professional debut. Hall started the team’s first match of the MLS NEXT Pro season, a 2-0 win over Columbus Crew 2, becoming the youngest starter in the league in its first week. He also featured for Inter Miami’s Academy U-17s at the 2022 Generation adidas Cup, contributing to the team’s run to the semifinals.
Hall once again joins the list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team. The list includes: Noah Allen (U.S. U-20 MYNT), Benjamin Cremaschi (U.S. U-19 MYNT), Tyler Austin, Justin Ellis, Santiago Morales and Felipe Valencia (U.S. U-15 MYNT), Logan Batiste (U.S. U-17 MYNT), Edison Azcona (Dominican Republic senior and youth national teams), and Israel Boatwright (Dominican Republic U-20 National Team), among others.
