Duquesne Hosting Miami (OH) Standout Guard Dae Dae Grant
The Duquesne Dukes are hosting a player with the potential to be a major contributor to next seasons squad and is arguably the most talented transfer to make an official visit to Keith Dambrot’s program.
Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Miami (Ohio) transfer guard Dae Dae Grant will start an official visit to Duquesne on Friday.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Lorain, Ohio led Miami (Ohio) in scoring last season with 17.5 points per game. Grant also averaged 4.7 rebounds, 4.1 assist and shot 42.3% from the field. Back in 2020-21, Grant scored 13.7 points per game and 3.0 rebounds and shot 41% from 3-point range.
Last season, Grant scored 20+ points 11 times and led Miami in scoring 18 times.
Because of the COVID-19 waiver, Grant has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Many people around basketball believe that Grant has NBA potential with his professional jump shot and overall shooting ability. He’s also known for his toughness, his competitive nature and is considered a great teammate.
Earlier this week, Duquesne landed former VCU transfer guard Tre Clark. If the Dukes can add Grant to join their roster, they’d have one of the most talented backcourts in the Atlantic-10.
