Miami-Dade mayor announces solutions to housing affordability crisis

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava is holding a press conference Friday to address the housing affordability crisis in the area, and announce actions her administration is taking to deal with the crisis.

According to the mayor’s office, rents in Miami-Dade County have increased more than 30% in just the last year, which is also making it harder for local businesses to find and retain employees.

The mayor is expected to announce an executive directive, as well as announce additional funding for residents who are experiencing rent hikes.
