Miami Hurricanes’ 2022 football schedule announced
The Miami Hurricanes’ 2022 football schedule, including a game against Texas A&M and the annual Florida State rivalry, was announced Monday.
First-year coach Mario Cristobal will make his debut at home on Sept. 3 against Bethune-Cookman. His next game will also be a home non-conference game, against Southern Miss. Miami will then travel to Texas A&M on Sept. 17 to face coach Jimbo Fisher, who went 7-1 against the ‘Canes when he was at Florida State. It’s Miami’s only road trip in its first five games.
Miami’s conference schedule begins at home against North Carolina after an open date before a trip to Virginia Tech against first-year coach Brent Pry.
The Hurricanes host rival Florida State on Nov. 5 in the latest edition of one of college football’s fiercest rivalries. Miami’s loss in Tallahassee last year was one of the fatal blows to Manny Diaz’s tenure.
Miami closes at Clemson on Nov. 19 and home against Pitt the next Saturday.
