Winter Weather Advisory in effect for northern Miami Valley; Accumulating snow expected – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio


A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Logan, Mercer, Miami, and Shelby counties until 4 p.m.

DETAILED FORECAST:

TODAY: Cloudy and cold today with high temperatures in the upper 20s. Snow showers will gradually taper off into the afternoon. Visibility will be reduced at times, and roads will have slick spots. 

A Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect generally north of I-70.  Accumulations will be greatest along and north of US-36 where 2-4 inches of snow may fall.

In between US-36 and US-35, lighter accumulations of 1-2 inches appear likely. South of 35, accumulations may amount to an inch or less. Give yourself extra time to get to where you need to be.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies with the chance for scattered snow showers. Cold with high temperatures reaching the middle 30s. Additional light accumulations may be possible with most areas seeing an inch or less.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny, dry, and cold with high temperatures in the middle 20s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and very cold. Morning lows in the single digits. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and cold again. Highs near 30 degrees.

FRIDAY: A few flurries possible early Friday. Otherwise, partly sunny and cold with highs in the lower 30s.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny and cold with highs in the upper 20s.
