American Airlines resumes flights between Miami and Montevideo
This Saturday (18) at 9:31 a. m. local time, the first American Airlines flight from Miami arrived at Montevideo Airport. The company had suspended operations to the Uruguayan capital since last March, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on demand.
American Airlines will have three weekly services on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, seating 234 passengers. With this schedule, the airline will offer 902 seats per week between Miami and Montevideo and vice versa.
Due to the Coronavirus, American will be operating to Carrasco Airport during the 2021/22 summer season. Previously, American carried out between five and seven flights per week throughout the whole year.
As published in the reservation system, by the end of March 2022 would be American’s last flight to Montevideo.
